About Gold Mountain Manor
Built in 1928, Gold Mountain Manor, is a 6000 square foot log mansion . Built by Alexander Barrett a wealthy Los Angeles movie investor, and his beloved wife Bessie and designed by architect Guy Sherman Maltby, the manor sits on an acre of Ponderosa Pines. Located on the quiet, prestigious Northshore of Big Bear Lake, the manor is an oasis of peace but only a few minutes from the hustle and bustle of the Southshore. One block from the San Bernardino National Forest, two miles from Holcomb Valley Gold Mine trail, 1.5 miles from Big Bear Lakeamd minutes from hiking, biking, skiing, boating, horseback riding and fishing.
Featuring fine period antiques and reproductions, the Manor guest rooms all have private baths, fireplaces and queen size beds. The common rooms include a great room with billiards, TV/VCR with video library and surround sound, board games and library plus comfy furniture for watching the birds. Our dinind room, where we serve breakfast, features an antique wood iron stove embellished with polished brass and a hand painted table with odes to the nature that surrounds us. And our loveliving room with it's giant quartz rock fireplace and inviting sofa and chairs will inspire you to get a cup of tea or cappuccino and sip the afternoon away. A grand, old fashioned veranda wraps around the mansion and is furnished with plenty of rockers and compy settees for your afternoon reverie.

Pickup and drop off at Palm Springs or Ontario Airports can be provided.

In addition to the breakfast, lunch and dinners Gold Mountain Manor will provide a Happy Hour with hors d'oeuvres and freshly baked treats.
On the last evening of the retreat Gold Mountain Manor will provide transportation to and from the Village of Big Bear Lake where guests will be able to tour, shop and buy dinner for themselves in one of the local restaurants.
